June 2026 Yoga Practice

June is a time where I begin to overheat, energetically speaking. Anyone else? (Sometimes physically too, but it's been mild here in Philly). Regardless, June can be a really busy month for so many of us.

Sometimes, in these seasons, I get down on myself for not engaging in practices that I know support me. And yet, it can feel like... who has the time? The energy?

When this happens, I try to be as compassionate as humanly possible with myself. When things are busy and I feel myself overheating, I aspire to give myself permission to do less.

Often, that means my yoga practice is not a physical one at all. And yet, sometimes my body wants to move. When that's true, I can move for a couple minutes or so. No pressure or expectation for a practice to look a certain way or be a certain length to be worthy.

So here's a practice I often turn to in these busier seasons of life. Feel free to join me in this movement or of course find other ways to support yourself, perhaps experimenting with ways of "doing less". Always an invitation.

Lots of care,

abby
