About Abby | Trauma  and Eating Disorder Therapist in the Philadelphia Suburbs

Hi there—I’m so glad you’re here. I’m Abby Albright (she/her), a therapist and yoga teacher who specializes in trauma and eating disorder recovery. I also work with individuals navigating grief and those who identify as Adult Children of Alcoholics.

About Me

You are looking for a therapist who truly gets it
someone who can understand the deeper patterns behind what you're experiencing, not just offer surface-level solutions. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful and self-aware, yet still feel stuck in painful cycles related to trauma, relationships, or their relationship with food and their bodies.

At the heart of my work is the belief that meaningful therapy happens within an authentic relationship. Techniques and interventions can be helpful, but lasting change often begins when you feel genuinely understood and safe enough to explore the parts of your experience that may have felt too difficult to face alone.

My approach is trauma-informed and relational. I integrate EMDR therapy with other approaches that support both emotional insight and nervous system regulation. I’m especially interested in helping people understand how past experiences—particularly trauma or early family dynamics—can continue to shape patterns in the present.

Beginning therapy can feel like a big step. If you're curious about whether working together might be helpful, you're welcome to reach out to schedule a consultation. We can talk about what you're hoping for and see if it feels like a good fit.
